Having benifited from a complete interior makeover, the owners of this london property wanted to reflect the wow factor of the interiors in the tired and dated garden.
All existing planting and lawn were removed. A challenging 3m dia trampoline in direct sightlines from the living room was relocated and screened with three topiary bays.
The distinctly box like character of the 180 sqm space was softened by introducing a bold circular lawn and boundaries were blurred by maximising deep planting in the resultant enlarged planting beds.
Low maintenance, evergreen structural varieties dominated the planting including box hedges emphasising the radius, bay, prunus lusitanica and pittosporum. Large drifts of salvias and sedums for long flowering seasonal colour were incorporated in a prominent bed raised to patio level filtering direct views to the garden beyond.
