Whilst benefiting from a generous sized plot, the gardens of this stylish town house consisted of a characterless square of lawn. The patio, although large, was isolated from the garden, linked by a narrow set of steps to the side.
By removing the existing glazed balustrade, introducing new wide steps and lowered terraced planting beds DIG created a connection between garden and house. Fragerent climbing jasmine softened the side wall and new ceder slatted panels added warmth and personality to the high rendering.
A contemporary gazebo and rendered bench created a destination towards the rear of the garden. A border of birch, hydrangeas and clipped prunus trees added much needed personality and screening.
