Following the painstaking internal restoration of this imposing victorian property, DIG was briefed to replace the concreted parking area at the front with a garden sympathitcic to te period.
DIG introduced a classic black and white tiled path and secondary gravel path to create a cruciform footprint. Illuminated topiary osmathus balls established a central focal point.
Yew hedging subdivided the garden and created a screen from new parking, relocated to the side. Three elegant Prunus lusitanica trees, to be clipped as topiary boxes, provided vertcal interest with underplaning of traditional classics including Rose Gertude Jekyll, Geranium rozanne and fragrant sarcoccoa for winter structure.
A classic period gazebo, customized with original tiles slavaged from the house restoration provided a hidden resting place from which to enjoy this tranquil escape.
